Apparently, a new way to drop the veil and guarantee access to the great beyond will be possible. But it’s kind of tricky. Only a child from two doppelgangers could finally reunite the new big baddie Silas (Paul Wesley) and the love of his life, currently in the other side. Stefan’s doppelganger will try at all costs to have a baby with another doppelganger, Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) but her boyfriend Damon (Ian Somerhalder) can be very protective and this should be a challenge for Silas. Fortunately, now with Katherine Pierce avaiable as a human, he can hope again. What is happening in the supernatural world with all the babies lately? We’ll have to wait and see.

I think it’s symbolic of how life is a “dead” end. No matter what we do or where we go there is always an end. There’s no escape and even Death can’t help you. You’re stuck living in a maze forever.
